Our Mission

Prevent HIV/AIDS in Michigan by increasing knowledge and awareness and investing public and private funds effectively.

MAF welcomes contributions of any amount from individuals, foundations and corporations. The smallest individual gift can make a huge difference to a man, woman, or young person living with or at-risk for HIV/AIDS. MAF is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, and gifts are normally tax-deductible for the full amount of your donation.

Sponsor an AmeriCorps Member

Each year, MAF’s 10-person AmeriCorps team provides critical full-time staffing to HIV/AIDS organizations in southeast Michigan. The cost to operate the AmeriCorps program is $4,500 per member annually - only $12 a day - and we’d like to invite you to sponsor a team member. Benefits, in addition to helping fight this dreadful epidemic, include:

recognition in all MAF AmeriCorps publicity and publications
signage on team banners, t-shirts, etc.
a biography of your member
regular updates on his/her progress
member visits, as appropriate

Bequests and Planned Gifts

A will, or bequest, is an easy way to ensure that your assets are distributed the way you wish. A charitable bequest can also benefit your heirs by placing your estate in a lower tax bracket and is completely tax deductible.
You also may designate MAF as the recipient of a cash gift, a percentage, or residual remainder of your estate. A donation can also be made by simply naming MAF as the beneficiary of an existing account, such as a Life Insurance Policy or IRA. MAF encourages you to consult with an estate-planning professional when considering a planned gift or making out your will.

Matching Gifts

If your company offers a matching gift program, your employer may double or even triple your donation to MAF. Contact your company's Human Resources or Community Relations Department for information regarding its matching gift program. Then, simply fill out your company's matching gift form and send it with a donation to, Michigan AIDS Fund, 21700 Northwestern Hwy., Suite 1150, Southfield, MI 48075.

Workplace Giving

If your company participates in the Community Health Charities campaign, simply designate Michigan AIDS Fund as the beneficiary of your contribution. For a list of participating employers, see Health Charities of Michigan .
